GFI's pet food products are made with pulses that are sustainably grown in North America, and are considered 'natural' by CFIA, FDA and USDA FSIS.

Consumers are increasingly aware of the health benefits of legumes and pulses and are looking for more healthy plant-based protein alternatives for their pets.  In addition, consumers are demanding more sustainable ingredients in their choices of pet food, making pulses a great addition to many pet food formulations. 

Peas, lentils, chickpeas and beans are highly attractive as pet food ingredients because of their functional processing attributes, antioxidant properties, wide availability and low cost to processors.  GFI's grinding and blending capabilities also provide an efficient input into the pet food manufacturing process by speeding up milling time and reducing the number of input SKUs in inventory.
